By the sea with North Sails

El mar es una fuente de inspiración constante. Es siempre un remanso de paz para cualquiera que necesite desconectar, durante unos instantes, del resto del mundo. Por eso, la idea de colaborar con North Sails, una marca que tiene el mar por bandera, me atrajo desde el primer momento. Su forma de combinar mar, deporte y estilo me pareció de lo más potente, y quise hacerles un hueco en mi armario de inmediato. En este post, os hablo de esta maravillosa marca de ropa deportiva, y de mi experiencia con algunas de sus prendas.

Me propusieron visitar la tienda de Barcelona, situada en pleno centro de la capital. Se trata de la primera y única tienda de esta marca (por el momento) en España. Mi misión era elegir algunas prendas que me gustasen de la colección, y crear un outfit con ellas. Nada más llegar me fijé en la estética de la tienda, que era súper espaciosa y organizada. El aire marinero se respiraba por todos los rincones, la música era estimulante y la disposición de la ropa y los complementos era perfecta. Incluso la gama de colores acompañaba: gris, azul marino, celeste, blanco y algún toque de mostaza.

Aunque me costó un poco elegir y me probé varias prendas, finalmente me decanté por una chaqueta tipo bomber, cuyo nombre hace referencia al color: la Ivory Jacket. Se trata de una prenda sorprendentemente ligera y cómoda de llevar, de estilo marcadamente deportivo, pero con un toque de tendencia. De tejido técnico, es una prenda que mantiene la temperatura corporal y se adapta a cualquier situación. Pensé que sería perfecta para las tardes de primavera y verano en las que me apeteciese salir a pasear cerca del mar. Me protegería del frío, y combinaría genial con unos jeans, unas deportivas y una camiseta básica o una camisa de rayas.

Además de la chaqueta, elegí una bolsa deportiva que me llamó la atención desde el primer momento, y que también combinaba genial con la chaqueta: la Duffle Bag en color azul marino y tamaño pequeño. Confeccionada en poliéster y PVC y de acabado efecto denim, esta bolsa me pareció el complemento perfecto para ir de viaje a cualquier lugar, o para llevar al gimnasio con todo lo necesario. Mientras la chaqueta es una prenda de la colección femenina de North Sails, la bolsa deportiva es completamente unisex. Creo que será un complemento que llevaré mucho este verano y que dará un toque súper casual a mis looks.

Para hacer las fotos, decidimos ir a algún lugar con playa donde pudiéramos sacar lo mejor de las prendas. Al final, nos decantamos por la playa de Castelldefels, que durante esa tarde estaba de lo más tranquila. Disfrutamos mucho aunque el tiempo que estuvimos allí fue breve. ¡Estamos deseando volver! The sea is a constant source of inspiration. It is always full of peace, a heaven for anyone who needs to disconnect from the rest of the world for a moment. That's why the idea of collaborating with North Sails, a brand which designs are inspired by the sea and the sporty lifestyle, was attractive to me from the first moment. Its way of combining sea vibes, sport and style seemed really powerful to me, and I instantly wanted to include their pieces in my closet right away. In this post, I will tell you more about it this wonderful sportswear brand, and my experience with some of their clothes.

They proposed me to visit their shop in Barcelona, located in the heart of the capital. It is the first and only store of this brand here in Spain. My mission was to choose my favourite items from their collection, and creating an outfit with them. The first thing that caught my attention was the aesthetic of the store, which was a spacious and organized place. I could breathe the sea in every corner, the music was stimulating and the arrangement of the clothing and accessories was perfect. Even the range of colors accompanied: gray, navy, blue, white and some touch of mustard.

Although it took me a while to choose, and I tried various garments, I finally decided to get a bomber jacket, whose name refers to the color: The Ivory Jacket. It is surprisingly light and comfortable to wear, it has a remarkable sporty style, but also a touch of trend. Made with technical fabric, it is a garment that maintains the corporal temperature and adapts to any situation. I thought it would be perfect for spring and summer evenings when I wanted to go for a walk near the sea. It would protect me from the cold, and easily combine with a pair of jeans, sneakers, a basic t-shirt or a striped shirt.

Also, I chose a sporty bag that caught my attention from the first moment, and it also looked great combined with the jacket: the Duffle Bag in navy blue and small size. Made of polyester and PVC, with a denim effect, I thought this bag cold be the perfect accesorie to travel anywhere, or to use as a gym bag carrying everything you need in it. While the jacket is a garment of the North Sails womens' collection, the sports bag is completely unisex. I know it will be a perfect bag to give that 'casual touch' to any of my outfits.

To take the outfit photos, we decided to go to the beach, where we could capture the best side of the clothes. In the end, we drived to the beach of Castelldefels. During that afternoon, it was very quiet. We really enjoyed the time we were there. We are looking forward to return!
