The perfect ring is from Meghna Jewels

Hola bonitos, ¿cómo estáis? Espero que estéis teniendo una buena vuelta al [inserte aquí lo que corresponda], jaja. En mi caso, la vuelta al trabajo, después de unas semanitas de vacaciones, no está yendo tan mal como esperaba. Por suerte, últimamente tengo la oportunidad de desarrollar proyectos que me apasionan en el trabajo. Aunque algunos días son más aburridos que otros, claro.
Pero no solo he vuelto al trabajo en la oficina; también he vuelto a la carga con el blog y mi Instagram. Esta vez espero que de forma definitiva. Tenía muchas ganas de continuar escribiendo posts, y poco a poco voy organizándome mejor para hacer fotos de los looks que quiero enseñaros y demás.
Pero en esta ocasión, no es un look lo que os quiero enseñar, sino una pieza de joyería que he recibido hace poco. Se trata de un anillo súper especial, de una marca llamada Meghna Jewels. Su creadora, Meghna Patel, de descendencia india y residente en Chicago, diseña piezas únicas con materiales de lujo. Creó la firma en 2011 y, desde entonces, sus joyas han aparecido en medios como las revistas Vogue y Elle, y en programas de TV como la serie Gossip Girl.
Cuando descubrí su web, me enamoré al instante de su estilo. Todas las piezas me parecieron súper diferentes a lo que había visto antes. Me encantaba cómo jugaban con la geometría y las formas naturales de las piedras. Meghna me pidió que escogiera mi favorita de la colección Fashion Jewelry, y me decanté por el anillo Evil Eye. Esta pieza me enamoró al instante: tanto el misticismo que se esconde detrás de la pieza, como el diseño en sí y los materiales, me fascinan.
Como sabréis, el Evil Eye es un amuleto que, según algunas creencias, protege del mal de ojo. Independientemente de que creas o no en estas cosas... lo cierto es que a mí siempre me han llamado mucho la atención los amuletos, el esoterismo y cualquier tipo de mitología en general.
Este anillo está realizado en metal chapado en oro de 18k, y adornado con pequeñas piezas de circonita y una pieza central de resina en color negro con brillo. Sin duda, el anillo más bonito que tengo en mi colección de joyas y bisutería. Cuando lo llevo, me gusta ponérmelo solo, sin ninguna otra pieza que distraiga la atención. But this time, it is not a look what I want to teach you, but a piece of jewelry that I've received recently. This is a super special ring from a brand called Meghna Jewels. Its creator, Meghna Patel, of Indian descent and resident in Chicago, designs unique pieces with luxury materials. She created the firm in 2011 and since then, her jewelry has appeared in media such as Vogue and Elle magazines, and TV shows such as the Gossip Girl series.
When I discovered the Meghna Jewels website, I instantly fell in love with its style. All the pieces seemed super different to what I had seen before. I loved how they played with the geometry and the natural shapes of the stones. Meghna asked me to choose my favorite from the Fashion Jewelry collection, and I opted for the Evil Eye ring. This piece made me fall in love instantly: both the mysticism behind the piece, as the design itself and the materials, fascinated me.
As you know, the Evil Eye is an amulet that, according to some beliefs, protects from the evil eye. Regardless of whether or not you believe in these things ... the truth is that I have always been very attracted by amulets, esotericism and any kind of mythology in general.
This ring is made of 18k gold plated metal adorned with small pieces of zirconia and a centerpiece of resin in shining black color with. Without a doubt, the most beautiful ring I have in my collection of jewelry. I like to wear it without any other item that distracts attention. Por otro lado, me gustaría hablaros también de otras de las colecciones de esta firma. La colección Bora Bora, dentro de su línea de joyería fina (de lujo), está inspirada en la isla Bora Bora de la Polynesia Francesa. Aunque nunca he estado, sólo viendo las piezas ya puedo imaginar cómo es el lugar. Lleno de color, y totalmente exótico. Estos pendientes son una de las piezas de la colección, ¿no os parecen brutales?
On the other hand, I would also like to tell you about other of the collections of this firm. The Bora Bora collection, within its line of fine jewelry (luxury), is inspired by the island Bora Bora of French Polynesia. Although I have never been there, I can already imagine what the place is like just by looking at the pieces. Full of color, and totally exotic. These earrings are one of the pieces in the collection, do not they look brutal?
Otra colección a destacar de la firma es la colección Claw. Ésta cuenta con un estilo más ecléctico y arriesgado, pero el color y las formas geométricas que caracterizan a la firma siguen estando presentes. Aunque la colección está formada mayormente por pendientes (igual que la colección Bora Bora), mi pieza favorita de ésta es un brazalete:
Another signature collection is the Claw collection. It has a more eclectic and risky style, but the color and geometric shapes that characterize the signature are still present. Although the collection consists mostly of earrings (just like the Bora Bora collection), my favorite piece of this is a bracelet:
